Sanitary Fittings
Sanitary clamps are used to connect ferrules, gaskets, valves, fittings and tubing in hygienic process systems.
Applications
Clamps are commonly sourced together with ferrules, gaskets, valves and tube assemblies.
Clamp connections for sanitary transfer and cleaning systems.
Quick-disconnect sanitary assemblies for beverage process layouts.
Repeat clamp and gasket package sourcing for maintenance teams.
Sizes & Dimensions
Tri-clamps conform to DIN 32676 / ISO 2852 dimensional standards. Standard PN10 (10 bar) and heavy-duty PN16 (16 bar) configurations available.

Operating Conditions
Standard tri-clamps rated to PN10 (10 bar). Heavy-duty (double-pin or bolted) clamps extend rating to PN16 (16 bar) or higher.
Actual ratings depend on size, material and operating conditions. Confirm via RFQ for project-specific requirements.

Common Questions
Engineering and procurement questions we hear most often. For project-specific guidance, send your application details via RFQ.
304 clamps are standard for general sanitary service. 316L clamps have superior corrosion resistance, especially with chloride exposure or aggressive CIP chemicals.
For dairy with aggressive caustic cleaning, 316L is recommended for clamp durability. For pharma/biotech requiring 316L throughout, specify with order.
Standard torque is 5–7 N·m for M8 wing nuts. Over-tightening crushes gasket and reduces seal life — finger-tight plus quarter turn is typical practical guide.
For high-pressure service, use calibrated torque wrench. For vibration service, specify bolted (not wing-nut) clamps to prevent loosening.
Single-pin clamps are standard for most sanitary applications (PN10). Double-pin clamps provide vibration resistance and slightly higher pressure capability.
For pumped lines with vibration, mixers, or rotating equipment, specify double-pin. For static lines and moderate pressure, single-pin is sufficient.
PN10 = 10 bar maximum working pressure (single-pin standard). PN16 = 16 bar (bolted heavy-duty clamps only).
Most sanitary lines operate at 3-6 bar, well within PN10. For high-pressure CIP, pump discharge, or steam lines, specify PN16 with bolted clamps.
Yes — stainless steel clamps are reusable as long as no damage, deformation, or stress cracking is visible. Inspect at each disassembly.
Replace if you see: bent pin, worn wing nut threads, surface cracks, deformed band. Replacement is inexpensive and prevents joint failure.
Yes — 304 and 316L stainless clamps are fully autoclave-compatible (121°C steam). However, the gasket material limits practical autoclave use to EPDM/silicone/PTFE.
For continuous SIP service, specify clamp material to match gasket. 316L recommended for repeated thermal cycling to prevent stress corrosion.
Standard: 3.1 MTR (material certificate) with heat number traceability. Optional: dimensional inspection report, surface roughness, passivation certificate.
For pharma/biotech, request full BPE documentation including ferrite content and surface finish report (Ra ≤ 0.8 μm mill or 0.38 μm EP).
